Signature Event

The Cowgirl Up Fund is a part of the Annual Way Out West Festival that takes place in El Paso, Texas.

Money raised through registration fees from the event’s Nusenda Credit Union Battle of the Bag Slingers Cornhole Tournament and other event programs are donated to the Cowgirl Up Charitable fund to help support programs that empower women and girls in the arts.

Cowgirl Up Boot Collection

The Cowgirl Up Boot Collection is a public art initiative celebrating emerging women artists across the Borderplex and transforming the Way Out West Festival into an open-air gallery of Western-inspired art.

Six local artists will bring their unique visions to life on 8-foot cowboy boots, drawing inspiration from the music, culture, history, and stories of our Borderplex community. Each one-of-a-kind creation celebrates creativity, community, and the unique spirit of our region.

Don’t miss the chance to see this incredible artwork in person at the festival!

Meet the talented local artists behind the collection: Citlali Delgado, Faridi Buhaya, Gitzel Moncivais, Carolina “KAKO” Villarreal, Ashley Cardenas, and Yoatzin Gutierrez.

Artist Spotlights, presented by Texas Gas Service.
